Bratzillaz Princesses Siernna Calmer

Siernna is supposed to be some kind of witch. I got her from ToysRUs much cheaper than the price printed on the box.

Bratzillaz are my favorite Bratz dolls. The articulated limbs make them fun to pose and their acrylic eyes are beautiful. I like them much better than painted on eyes.

She's supposed to have a glow in the dark bird but it was missing from the box. The birdcage was also kind of squished. The cage got tossed in the garbage. The doll totally looks stupid with a dumb bird in a cage on her head. Who wears birdcages on their heads, anyway? She came with a brush but no stand.

Her power is keeping people calm and cool. Ok.

The box art makes her look like a Monster High doll.

Here she is with her besties.

That hair is a hot, hot, unholy mess. That dress...sigh. I do love those fingerless gloves. The thigh high stockings will look better on a bigger doll. They wouldn't stay up on her.

That dress is screaming something at me. I just don't know what it's trying to say. Hooker/stripper/raggedy witch? Oh, who knows.

She has a lot of hair on her head. They did not skimp there.

Not crazy about those eyebrows.

I had fun taking photos of her with her wild hair and ugly eyebrows.

When in doubt wear it wild.

I boiled her hair 3 times. It did nothing.  I don't know what this stuff is made out of.
I finally wet her hair, put a lot of gel in it and restyled it.

Siernna looks so pretty and softer with normal clothes and tame hair. I removed those eyebrows and the design under one of her eyes with a q-tip and fingernail polish remover. There was too much going on on her face. She looks happier.

These 3 dolls have the best quality hair of all my Bratz dolls. Bratzillaz Meygana and Siernna with Bratz Boutique Sasha.

Siernna Calmer went from this...

To this. What an improvement.

Bratzillaz Illiana Honesty Steam Punked

I'm obsessed with everything steampunk right now. I thought I'd look kind of ridiculous walking around in a get up like this.

I checked the internet for steampunk dolls. There are a lot of steampunk dolls but, unfortunately, I can't afford any of them right now.

So I made this outfit for my Bratzillaz Illianna Honesty doll. She has a Liv doll body. I think ske looks lovely, like a proper Victorian steampunk chick. Now where did I put her time machine?

Sewing Room

I made a doll sewing room out of cardboard because I'm learning how to sew and I want my dolls to sew, too.

I uses card stock and various odds and ends that I got from Micheal's, shelf liner and other things I got from the dollar store. The window is a printable from myfroggystuff.blogspot.com. As you can see its winter all year round outside. I learned how to make the ottoman from a myfroggystuff tutorial on YouTube.

I used the ottoman because I was too lazy to make a chair. I hate making chairs, anyway.

The sewing machine was made out of pieces of cardboard covered with white paper.

I made almost everything in the room.

Here are photos of some of my dolls sewing.

Liv doll Hayden wearing a Moxie Teenz wig making a pair of leggings.

Ever After High's Madeline Hatter holding some fabric. I have no idea what she's making.

Honey Swamp likes to sew, too.

Bratzillaz Sashabella with a Liv body and a Moxie Teenz wig ironing.

I'm having a lot of fun with the sewing room and so are my dolls.

My First Handmade Doll Wig

I did some brief research on the internet to learn how to make my own doll wigs. There are a lot of different methods; some detailed and time consuming (I dismissed those) and a few that looked relatively easy and quick (definitely made note of those).

This what I came up with:

This is Moxie Teenz Arizona wearing the new wig which turned out pretty good.

I bought one bag of hair from a beauty supply store. It's called Ya Man Afro Kinky Braid 100% Kanekalon Fiber,
Red. I used the whole bag.

I crocheted a wig cap with a size C hook and very fine (crochet thread?) black yarn. Then I folded a piece of hair in half and sewed the pieces onto the wig cap very carefully. When I was done I cut it to the desired length. I may cut it so more. I also sewed some of the hair in place in the front to style it a bit and to cover the wig cap which is black. I didn't have red thread. It probably would've looked a bit better with a red wig cap underneath. It wouldn't be so noticeable.

I wanted to buy more wigs for my dolls from eBay but I gave up after awhile because the prices are outrageous.

This is a much cheaper option. It was fun but more importantly it didn't take that much time. I'm definitely going to make more.

This is Bratzillaz Sashabella wearing the wig. She has a Liv body and a Barbie dress. (Boy, that's a lot of hair).

Here's a Liv's Alexis wearing the wig and an outfit I found on a doll at the thrift store. She looks cute.

The wig cap is very soft and slippery so I have a piece of Velcro and two pins sticking in the dolls head to keep it on.

This is a view of the wig from the back and the side. The black that's showing in the 2nd photo is the wig cap.

All in all, I like making my own wigs. And I hate paying too much for everything on eBay.

Moxie Teenz Arizona

Moxie Teenz by MGA Entertainment are some of the most beautiful dolls I've ever seen. Unfortunately, they've been discontinued. So many of the wigged, articulated dolls have been discontinued. I don't know why. I wish someone could explain to me why there's such high turnover for these fashion dolls.

Liv fashion dolls by Spin Master (also discontinued) are my favorite and have the absolute best articulation. But Moxie Teenz had better clothes and accessories and beautiful faces.

This is Arizona. She has blue, acrylic, inset eyes and gorgeous brown skin. This is the outfit and wig that she came with. She originally had ugly, tacky gold plastic jewelry that I got rid of. And I immediately lost the ring that was on her right hand. I knew that wouldn't last long. I cut off the off white, lace tights that were attached to the skirt because the were ugly and reminded me of the Eighties. I DO NOT want to be reminded of the Eighties.

I got her for a very reasonable price on eBay. Sellers on eBay usually sell discontinued dolls for insane amounts of money. I can't believe that anyone would buy from those sellers who are obviously trying to rip people off. If I ever find another Moxie Teenz for a decent price, I'll definitely buy it.

Here she is without her wig. Her face and eyes are beautiful. She has long beautiful lashes. I think she's supposed to be biracial or Hispanic.

Here she is with a different MT wig and her accessories. She's sitting on a love seat that made out of a box, a gift bag, paper and duct tape.

Here she is standing next to Liv doll, Alexis. Alexis is done up like she could be a character from the movie, Blade Runner. The Liv doll is 11 1/2 inches. Arizona is 14 inches.

In this photo she's wearing a Liv Daniella wig. She looks good in different wigs.

A Moxie Teenz wig I got from ToysRUs for $3. Right now idiots are trying to sell these same wigs for exorbitant amounts of money on eBay. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Another MT $3 wig and a dress and a hat that I made for her. I learned how to make the dress from a My Froggy Stuff tutorial on YouTube. The hat tutorial is by Chad Alan on YouTube.

The only highly articulated dolls I see at ToysRUs and Target , right now, are Monster High and Barbie Fadhionistas by Mattel and Bratziilaz by MGA Entertainment. All the good dolls have been discontinued. Moxie Girlz suck. They're a cheap version of Bratz. They're isn't anything special about them. Bratz Catz are articulated as well but I don't see them in stores any more, either.

I'm bored with Monster High and I CAN'T STAND Barbies. I might just stop collecting dolls until companies start putting out more dolls like Moxie Teenz, Liv and BFC, Ink.

Right now, I'll just focus on the dolls that I have.

Robotica's Cafe - Doll Hangout

I got the idea to make this diner or cafe from Ginger Lola on YouTube. She has a video tutorial about how to make a doll restaurant. I followed the tutorials the best that I could. I didn't have the materials she did or the space in my apartment so mine is small.

Most of my dolls like to hang out here.

I used an Oil of Olay drug store display case I found in front of my building. Most of the materials I used to decorate it I bought from the dollar store.

The tables were made out of Popsicle sticks painted white and yogurt containers. The chairs were made out of juice container tops and yogurt containers. I had to weight the tables and chairs down with glass pebbles purchased from the dollar store. They kept tipping over. It was driving me insane.

Monster High's Venus McFlytrap works behind the counter. Ghoulia and Robecca Steam eat here all the time. Liv's Jake brings Hayden here on dates. Daniella likes to hang out and play her guitar. There's also Liv's Alexis, La Dee Da's Sloane and Bratzillaz's Jade.

Bon appetit, dolls!
