Disney Oz China Girl Doll

I'm really late to this party. This doll was released a long time ago. I finally got around to getting it. I wasn't interested in any of the other dolls from this movie, Disney's Oz The Great and Powerful. I didn't like the movie. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I wanted this doll because she's very unique and unusual and I like articulated dolls. I've never read the Wizard of Oz book so I wasn't aware that there was a town in the land of oz where everything is made out of china, the buildings and the people. I may read the story to find out more. I would've liked to have seen more of this character and her town in the movie. That would have been fascinating. 

Here she is in her box. It's a lousy photo. Sorry. 

She is so pretty. She's entirely made out of plastic. She's 14 inches. Her head can tilt from side to side and up and down. She has cracks all over her to resemble china. The cracks aren't as deep as on the rest of her body and for that I'm grateful. She would have ended up looking like the Bride of Chucky. 

The Disney store released a limited edition version that was made out of china. It cost about $250. And, of course, it's going for a lot more than that on eBay. 

My plastic version has painted on shoes. She's articulated. She has a little girl's body and blue painted on panties. She does stand on her own but not very well. This doll is very light. She doesn't weigh very much at all. 

Her dress is made out of stiff, plastic like material that feels like its waterproof. If I had decent sewing skills I'd make her a much nicer dress. She would look so cute with a better dress. 

Her she is from behind. You can see the dress is cheap. 

Her head is hollow. Her hair is molded plastic. 

She can't touch her face but she can touch her hair.

She sits very well but sometimes she tilts back. I don't know why. It's not like her head is heavy. 

This is China Girl with Moxie Teenz Arizona. I think they're discussing hair or something. 

She is so sweet and pretty. I like her because she is so different than other dolls. I'm glad I finally got her. 

I recently found the two mini dolls at the thrift store. I think they were originally 9.99 apiece at www.disneystore.com. They are so cute. I'm happy I found them. I wanted one so bad. Now I have two for about $1 each. Yipppeeee!

Baby Bratz Sasha and Mini Kenya

Two small, cute dolls I found for a very good price.

Hair Madness Mini Kenya by Kenya Dolls is on the left. They have regular sized fashion dolls and male dolls. They only make Dolls of Color (DOC). This is the only Kenya doll I've ever seen in a store. I bought her on sale at Walgreens. 

She came with a little bag and she has the letter K on both of her shoes. Her shoes are painted on. Her clothes can be removed. 

She has so much hair that she tips over backwards from the weight of it. I'm sure littles girls must love all that hair. 

I don't know much about these dolls. I did check out the Kenya dolls website. Right now they have a sale on some Kenya fashion dolls. 

Mini Kenya's are sweet, nice 6 inch dolls with a crazy amount off hair. I'll only buy them when I find a very good sale. 

This is Baby Bratz - Storybook Collection - Sasha's North Pole Journey. She came in a box that had a stupid story on it that I totally didn't read. She also came with a brush that I kept. I don't see these in stores anymore so I assume they've been discontinued like all the other good dolls that I like. She 4 inches. 

I'm going to leave her hair exactly the way it is because it's so cute. 

She's so sweet. 

Same as with Mini Kenya, I'd only buy more Baby Bratz if I find anymore of them for a very good price. The best price is free, though.

Moxie Teenz Arizona

Moxie Teenz by MGA Entertainment are some of the most beautiful dolls I've ever seen. Unfortunately, they've been discontinued. So many of the wigged, articulated dolls have been discontinued. I don't know why. I wish someone could explain to me why there's such high turnover for these fashion dolls. 

Liv fashion dolls by Spin Master (also discontinued) are my favorite and have the absolute best articulation. But Moxie Teenz had better clothes and accessories and beautiful faces. 

This is Arizona. She has blue, acrylic, inset eyes and gorgeous brown skin. This is the outfit and wig that she came with. She originally had ugly, tacky gold plastic jewelry that I got rid of. And I immediately lost the ring that was on her right hand. I knew that wouldn't last long. I cut off the off white, lace tights that were attached to the skirt because the were ugly and reminded me of the Eighties. I DO NOT want to be reminded of the Eighties. 

I got her for a very reasonable price on eBay. Sellers on eBay usually sell discontinued dolls for insane amounts of money. I can't believe that anyone would buy from those sellers who are obviously trying to rip people off. If I ever find another Moxie Teenz for a decent price, I'll definitely buy it. 

Here she is without her wig. Her face and eyes are beautiful. She has long beautiful lashes. I think she's supposed to be biracial or Hispanic. 

Here she is with a different MT wig and her accessories. She's sitting on a love seat that made out of a box, a gift bag, paper and duct tape. 

Here she is standing next to Liv doll, Alexis. Alexis is done up like she could be a character from the movie, Blade Runner. The Liv doll is 11 1/2 inches. Arizona is 14 inches. 

In this photo she's wearing a Liv Daniella wig. She looks good in different wigs. 

A Moxie Teenz wig I got from ToysRUs for $3. Right now idiots are trying to sell these same wigs for exorbitant amounts of money on eBay. They should be ashamed of themselves. 

Another MT $3 wig and a dress and a hat that I made for her. I learned how to make the dress from a My Froggy Stuff tutorial on YouTube. The hat tutorial is by Chad Alan on YouTube. 

The only highly articulated dolls I see at ToysRUs and Target , right now, are Monster High and Barbie Fadhionistas by Mattel and Bratziilaz by MGA Entertainment. All the good dolls have been discontinued. Moxie Girlz suck. They're a cheap version of Bratz. They're isn't anything special about them. Bratz Catz are articulated as well but I don't see them in stores any more, either. 

I'm bored with Monster High and I CAN'T STAND Barbies. I might just stop collecting dolls until companies start putting out more dolls like Moxie Teenz, Liv and BFC, Ink. 

Right now, I'll just focus on the dolls that I have.

Littlest Pet Shop Blythe Dolls

I can't afford Blythe or mini Blythe dolls right now. I've read some online reviews comparing Littlest Pet Shop Blythe to regular more expensive Mini Blythe dolls. Of course, the more expensive ones are better quality and articulated. But like I said, I ain't got that kind of money so Littlest Pet Shop Blythe by Hasbro is the next best thing.

I love these dolls. They're adorable and right now, they're on sale at my local ToysRUs. They're heads can tilt from side to side and up and down and they have eyelashes. They're knees don't bend. They also come with useless combs. 

This is Pinwheels & Daisies and her cute little dog. I have no idea if the dogs have names. 

Her shoes, hat, dress and glasses can be removed. I really like her dress. It's very pretty. The material is stiff and makes it hard for her to sit down.

I couldn't get her pinwheel to stay on her hand. 

This is Autumn Glam. Her lunchbox or whatever that thing is, opens up. I like her boots and dress but the hat is kind of funky looking. She also comes with an ear of corn. She has beautiful eyes and brilliant red hair. 

This is Cold Weather Cute. She's wearing a pair of ice skates. Her tights are painted on. There isn't anything under her coat. I was disappointed that she didn't have a dress on. Some day I'll make her a cute dress when I figure out how. Maybe I'll buy Blythe clothes from Amazon. 

This is Buckles & Bows. Her tights are painted on. Everything else comes off. Her pet fits into the bag. I think she's a diva with an attitude who likes to go shopping.

This one is called Hiking Trip. I have no idea why. She doesn't look like she's dressed to go hiking to me. 

She didn't come with a pet but she does have a postcard and a lollipop which I can't find anymore.

These dolls have great accessories, removable clothes, hats and shoes. Their eyes are just gorgeous. They have good quality hair and adorable expressions on their faces. 

I don't think Hasbro makes Blythe dolls anymore. And, of course, I jumped on the bandwagon late. The good thing about that is that when I find them in stores their usually on sale for a great price.

Robotica's Cafe - Doll Hangout

I got the idea to make this diner or cafe from Ginger Lola on YouTube. She has a video tutorial about how to make a doll restaurant. I followed the tutorials the best that I could. I didn't have the materials she did or the space in my apartment so mine is small.

Most of my dolls like to hang out here. 

I used an Oil of Olay drug store display case I found in front of my building. Most of the materials I used to decorate it I bought from the dollar store. 

The tables were made out of Popsicle sticks painted white and yogurt containers. The chairs were made out of juice container tops and yogurt containers. I had to weight the tables and chairs down with glass pebbles purchased from the dollar store. They kept tipping over. It was driving me insane. 

Monster High's Venus McFlytrap works behind the counter. Ghoulia and Robecca Steam eat here all the time. Liv's Jake brings Hayden here on dates. Daniella likes to hang out and play her guitar. There's also Liv's Alexis, La Dee Da's Sloane and Bratzillaz's Jade.
